The Give Back Program
An 18 hour project for a partnership client. This site focused on utilizing one of our payment processing partners to give back to businesses. Client did not have a previous website, imagery, or branding guidelines - just a logo and text.
The main goals for the new site were to have a sophisticated and professional look and feel, while also providing a friendly and straightforward experience.
The biggest challenge on this project was that very little content was ready at kick off and communication throughout the site build was somewhat disjointed. It was difficult to pin down time to discuss the site with the client and a large chunk of our time ended up going toward scheduling and gathering needed assets.
Typically, I try not to start a project before receiving all content to be included on a site. But there are some cases, especially when communication is difficult, where getting the site started with minimal resources is the nudge a client needs to become more involved in the process.
I'm proud of how this site turned out despite our lack of resources to begin with. While having branding guidelines and imagery provided by the client definitely helps make a site more unique, I enjoyed gathering these assets and the opportunity to help contribute to my client's branding structure and development.
